  1. Hi Latishia, great resources, I specially love Major Milestones in Cognitive. I believe if every parent is informed as to what Major Milestones in Cognitive is and how it can possibly detect how and where a child is cognitively, we can caught developmental delays early.

  2. Great resources. I especially like the link for how stuff works it is a great summary of how the different family types work and who is included in them. The section that mentions younger parents and the stigma they face from being young parents is true. But some young parents overcome those bumps in the road. Thanks for the information.

  3. Your resources were an interesting read. I found the article on different family systems especially interesting because family make up does play a role in children's development. As early childhood professionals, we have to be careful how we say things to our children. When I send home reminders or newsletters, I address them to caregivers or to the family. We have to move away from "Dear mommies and daddies" because in many situations that is non existent.
